His unquenchable thirst for knowledge and understanding has led him to attend many conferences, retreats, and conventions to further enhance his ministerial calling. His ultimate educational goal is to achieve God’s highest to accomplish His utmost in ministry. He is often known to recite many clichés and quotes, particularly “When better is achievable, good is not enough!”

Biography of Jacqueline Hampton

Jacqueline Hampton is a native of Alabama and daughter of Pastor & Mrs. Charlie R. Burgess, both of Leighton, Alabama. She is a gifted woman of God with a true prophetic call on her life. Her desire is to effectively infiltrate a world of darkness with the light of Christ, the Word of God.

A Life Shaped by Faith and Journey

As a military wife, she has visited and resided in several major cities and countries throughout the world, including Washington, D.C., California, and Japan. She is dedicated to the Lord and continually strives to perfect the call of God upon her life through obedience, commitment, and availability. One of her favorite passages of scripture is lived out through Psalms 51:10, which states, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Fully Devoted to Ministry Calling

Formerly employed as a licensed cosmetologist, she now commits herself totally to ministry as a servant of the Most High God. She serves in the office of a prophet and Teacher; and is co-founder of God’s Standard Ministries of Clinton, Maryland.

Our History

God’s Standard Ministry (GSM) was born out of servitude unto the Lord by Lloyd and Jacqueline Hampton. Pastor Hampton was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps while stationed in Djibouti, Africa, from September 2003 through March 2004. Then, Pastor Hampton was Praise and Worship Leader at the local Base Chapel. Led by the Holy Spirit, the outgoing minister asked him to be his replacement as incoming minister to continue the Friday evening services. Prayerfully, he accepted this mantle with the Lord leading.

They held the first women's retreat during May 2004 at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center, Norman Park, Georgia—approximately 70 women attended.

When God United the Vision

Lloyd and Jacqueline realized that although distance separated them “physically,” God was doing something greater within them “spiritually.” Refusing to believe that this was a mere coincidence, they recognized the hand of God and knew that He was birthing ministry in them through the capacities in which they served Him. They joined in prayer to seek the Lord’s guidance, and He gave unto them the name “God’s Standard Ministries.” Then, aided by a local attorney in June 2004, they became co-founders of “God’s Standard Ministries Incorporated.” Now, realizing that the vision for the ministry is much greater than them, they’re establishing partners around the world who have committed their lives to living according to God’s standard—a higher standard!

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

To see people saved, healed, delivered, and set free through teaching the uncompromised Word of God; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God. (Lu. 4:18-19; Eph. 4:12-13)

Our Vision

Our Mission

Our Mission

We are one body, of one Spirit, not focusing on race or religion, but totally focusing on GOD; not esteeming or exalting ourselves, but God only. That there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another; whether one member suffers, we all suffer with them; or if one member is honored, all members rejoice with them (1 Corinthians 12:25-26).

What We Believe (Statement of Faith)

  1. There is one true and living God, who is everlasting and infinite in power, wisdom, and goodness. (Romans 1:20) In the unity of this Godhead, there are three persons of one individual essence, who are co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1, 2, 18; Hebrews 9:14; John 14:26; 15:26; John 10:33)
  2. Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16), presenting to us the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and constituting the Divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. (2 Peter 1:21)
  3. Man is a created being (Genesis 1:26), made in the likeness and the image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. (Romans 5:12) All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. (Romans 3:10) Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. (1 John 3:8)
  4. Salvation is made possible through the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross and through Holy Spirit conviction. Godly sorrow produces repentance and makes possible the experience of the new birth. (Titus 2:11; Romans 10:13-15; Luke 24:47; Titus 3:5-7)
  5. Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Ephesians 2:8). But each person has an individual free will, so it is possible, even after the new birth, to turn away from and reject Christ, with the consequences of eternity apart from God. (2 Peter 2:20-22, James 5:19-20, Hebrews 6:4-6)
  6. Baptism in water is by immersion and is a direct commandment of our Lord (Matthew 28:19) and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39)
  7. Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11) is a gift from God, as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ, and is made available to all believers and is received after the new birth. (John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8) The baptism of the Holy Spirit is accompanied by speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-48; 19:6) The biblical exercise of supernatural utterance is available to every believer as a means of prayer, praise, intercession, and edification through the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:26, 1 Corinthians 14:4)
  8. Divine healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is released by the power of God. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is available to all. (1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Mark 16:18, James 5:14-15)
  9. We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him, has the joyous privilege of supporting his local church/ministry financially. We believe that God has established the tithe as a basis for giving but that every Christian should also give other offerings to the support of ministry, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. (Genesis 14:20; Proverbs 3:9-10; Acts 4:34-37; 1 Corinthians 16:2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; Galatians 6:6; Ephesians 4:28; Malachi 3:8-10)
  10. We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. If you have been involved in this tragic experience, God makes His forgiveness and healing available. (Job 3:16; Psalm 51:5; Luke 1:44; Isaiah 44:24)
  11. We believe that God hates divorce and intends marriage to last until one of the spouses dies. Also, we believe that marriage is between a man and a woman as defined by God in the book of Genesis, Chapter 2:24, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”
  12. We believe the Bible presents the coming of Christ as personal and imminent, but of that day and hour knoweth no man…wherein the Son of Man cometh. (Matthew 24:36-37; 25:13).
