In a sense, a clerk works for everybody. We inform and advise them and often relay messages directly from the pastor. Over a period of time, the clerk assumes an increasing amount of clerical work, routine information handling, and scheduling as directed by the pastor. It is hard to think of the ministry that could not effectively utilize the services of a clerk. We help everyone to work in a much better way than they could by themselves.
A Life That Reflects God’s Truth
These values may be applied to life’s experiences that explicitly define the power and authority, rights, and obligations of the believer's lifestyle, which include our morals, ethics, conduct, and behavior. God’s standard is a “higher standard,” and if you are diligent and determined to live accordingly, He will do all the things that are impossible within us, for with God all things are possible. If we do what we can, God will do what we can’t.
The account of church/ministry treasurers stretches back as a minimum to 457 B.C., when Ezra selected keepers for the money specifically for the effort in Jerusalem. The persons that were identified to care for the Lord’s goods were commanded by Ezra, “Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers” (Ezra 8:28).
Jesus and His disciples also had one chosen to take control over their funds. Jesus stressed the significance of accurate management and integrity in the managing of money. If it was significant in the time of Ezra and of Christ to have somebody to take care of church funds, it is vital today.
The Financial Department is to foster systematic study of financial matters and set guidelines to prevent inaccuracy of accounting procedures and processes within the Financial Department at GSM and will maintain a “Higher Standard” that will honor the LORD while performing our duties.
Therefore, it is imperative and very significant for the treasurer and department to know that all monies that are contributed into the body at GSM are, in fact, God’s money. And we believe that the care of all monies received is invested into the Kingdom with the utmost integrity and stewardship amongst our leaders. The accurate Biblical conception of money is that God possesses it all and permits us to handle it for Him—as good stewards.
As a greeter, it is our primary responsibility to “greet and seat” all people that enter our doors and to introduce them to every practical expression of God’s Standard Ministries mission and vision in the presence of the Almighty. We want to leave a lasting impression by making sure that they are met by friendly and helpful greeters.
Additionally, we distribute bulletins, program handouts, calendars, and visitor cards (as necessary) and keep records of all who either visit or unite with this ministry.
Our goal is to encourage and inspire others through our servitude unto God!
A smile, food, drink, and a warm welcome go a long way toward creating a welcoming environment. Oftentimes, letting visitors come and go without a greeting or farewell is likely to create a feeling of being unnoticed or excluded. Well, at GSM we don’t make that mistake!
Our goal is to welcome, inspire, and exhort visitors so that they want to come back and eventually partner with us.
A hospitality ministry offers new visitors a chance to feel loved, cared for, and a feeling of being at home in ministry. Also, it aids in establishing new partners with dignity and respect while generously reaching out to them with the love of God and causing every visitor to feel comfortable and at ease while visiting our ministry.
We present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. It is hoped that visitors will encounter the love of God upon entering the doors at GSM and experience God’s love illuminated at GSM with a hope that will cause them to feel welcome!
Serving in the hospitality ministry is a calling to help make church visitors feel so genuinely welcome they will want to come back! Therefore, they come back again and again, not merely due to an invitation, but because they want to.
As it is written in the book of Hebrews 13:2, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Upon considering this insightful Bible passage, we may have already had visitors from heaven in our midst.
To foster systematic programs, procedures, and processes within God’s Standard Ministries to enable people to become more aware and familiar with internal/external activities within GSM. There is a transformational change happening within churches and ministries today. Many are part-time saints, but this cannot be within us individually, as a team, as a group, as a department, etc. Lukewarm saints are like termites, eating away the very foundation of churches. God directs us to be either COLD or HOT, but if we’re LUKEWARM, God said, … Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.… Rev. 3:16; let this remain a thought while serving within this department and awaiting the LORD’s soon return.
But a full-time saint is like a tree planted by the water and strengthens the church’s foundation and assists in the development of assuring its future. Therefore, within this ministry, we assist all other departments and/or auxiliaries to serve at optimum levels, thereby enhancing the overall Christian experience of all within GSM.
For the scripture says, “…inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you’ve done it unto me… Matthew Chapter 25:40.
We’re glad you’re here. It’s been said that “It’s easy to get men to meet and eat, but it’s difficult to get men to meet for ministry.” Psalms 107 has a unique theme, which is mentioned four (4) times in this psalm: “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
The purpose of GSM Men's Ministry is to exhort men to praise God!
Our goal is to encourage men through the scriptures of what happens when men hunger and thirst after the righteousness of God and to reflect on and remove anything that hinders the manifestation of God in and through us, individually.
Consider this: many of us (men) are heads of households, have children, have a family, or serve as leaders in organizations. Have you ever considered that our decisions do not only affect our lives but also the lives of others? Therefore, would it not be easier to be led by God so that we do not mislead others?
Remember what happened when Paul and Silas were in prison? They were beaten and cast into the inner prison, and according to Acts 16:25-30, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awaking out of his sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew out his sword and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm, for we are all here. Then he called for a light and sprang in and came trembling and fell down before Paul and Silas and brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Paul and Silas were not focused on the pain nor comparing wounds but were led to join in prayer and praise while “in” prison. They did not ask the LORD to deliver them, but the LORD manifested himself when they began to pray and praise Him… Deliverance was “in” their prayer and praise! Amen.
At GSM, we remind men to reflect on the goodness of God and praise Him for it—on purpose!
Service Time: Every 3rd Sunday. (Immediately following morning worship service)
Greetings and salutations, welcome to GSM Women's Ministry!
Our purpose: to train and equip women to take their rightful place in the kingdom of God.
Background Scripture: “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies… Proverbs 31:10
Goal: To obtain an excellent spirit through studying God’s word and demonstrating
God’s standard in our life, ministry, and family.
Thank you for visiting our site…you will find information about our ministry and specifically the Women's Ministry. We endeavor to introduce Jesus Christ in an open and meaningful way to enable the manifestation of God's blessings in your daily lives. We share biblical truths, chapter and verse, and settings coupled with individual life experiences to convey God’s love through the scriptures and the lives of his people that will ignite an eternal love of Him and encourage you to be a light for His glory as you continue in His word.
Also, we plan activities, events, outings, and conferences to further your nurturing, growth, and education through the word of God.
If you’re looking to enrich your life through the blessings of God and obtain the favor of the LORD, you must first seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
However, when you come…come with expectations!
Service Times: Every 2nd and 4th Friday.
Note: Our women's ministry meetings are temporarily held in an “inactive” status due to the implementation of GSM’s WOG training session.
Praise and worship is the heartbeat and life of devotion. At God’s Standard Ministries (GSM), it is a privilege to serve the LORD in this capacity of ministry and to usher in the presence of the LORD. We are committed to an honorable lifestyle that keeps us without spot or wrinkle and are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.
Praise and worship is commanded by God to the believer as a key to entering into his presence. Psalm 100 reads, “… Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” And Psalm 68:1 reads, “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered…” Therefore, praise and worship open windows of opportunities for the manifestation of the glory of God to appear within the atmosphere during the worship experience. Throughout the scriptures we are reminded of God’s blessings when the people were commanded to exhort Him. II Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat “…appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army…and when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against their enemy; and they were smitten, and none escaped.” Also, in the book of Joshua, Chapter 6, at the battle of Jericho, Joshua was instructed “…to set seven priests and trumpets to compass the city seven times…and it came to pass that when they made a long blast with the horns and all the people shouted with a great shout, the walls of the city fell down flat…” So the LORD was with Joshua, and his fame was noised throughout all the country.
Remember, we are exhorted to praise and worship God for what He’s done, for who He is, and for other particular mercies that endure forever. So, let us lift our hands in the sanctuary and bless the name of the LORD!
The Children's Ministry fosters an atmosphere of learning that enhances a child’s ability to grasp and apply basic skills to define, describe, and discuss foundational principles and techniques to show forth the LORD’s blessings within them. Proverbs 22:6 reads… Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The Hebrew word for “train” means to “dedicate.” Our goal is to inspire, instruct, and exhort children of the LORD to learn and apply knowledge, skills, and abilities that will honor the LORD in word and deed.
Service Times: Every 3rd and 5th Sunday.
The purpose of the Singles Ministry is to become a direct role model of purity in word, deed, and servitude unto the LORD. Our goal is to live a lifestyle that is blameless before God and to allow the light of Christ to shine within us, a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle.
As members of the Singles Ministry, we must recognize that we are ambassadors for Christ and that we have been sanctified, meaning “consecrated,” “set apart,” and/or “separated for the service of the LORD” to honor him in this capacity. Our conversation, behavior, and manner of life must exemplify Christ in all that we say and do. We must remember that we are a light in a dark world and must let our lights shine, not let our lights be overpowered by darkness.
Life as a single, unmarried Christian allows the perfect opportunity to devote your time and efforts to living for and serving God. It requires a lot of self-control, obedience, and sacrifice, constantly denying the flesh and dying to self. Galatians 5:24 says, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” It is not easy and not a popular choice by the world’s standard, but we have been called to live according to God’s standard, a higher standard.
Service Time: Every 4th Sunday. (Immediately following morning Worship Service)
Note: The Singles ministry meetings are temporarily held in an “inactive” status.
GSM’s “Outreach/Evangelism Ministry” is scheduled for every 3rd Saturday of the month commencing during the months of April–September annually. We meet at 9:30am in Annex 1 to expound on a short lesson before going out into the neighborhood. All GSM partners are encouraged to participate, as we all are a part of the outreach ministry team!
Proverbs 11:30 reads, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” Therefore, soul winning is not only a focus for pastors and missionaries; if you are saved, then soul winning is YOUR responsibility too!
Jesus gave the command at least four (4) times in the New Testament:
Join us in the efforts to win souls for God—do your part. Come join this remnant of elites!
Service Time: Every 3rd Saturday of the Month (April–September, as Scheduled).
